This app has one important purpose: to help you grow in your Christian faith. The Holy Spirit creates growth when He uses Gods Word to shape the faith and life the of Christian into the image of Jesus Christ. This app is a toolbox, intended to give you access to Gods Word wherever you are, at any moment.

The Risen Christ App is also not intended to replace your life in the Church. Christ teaches that a Christian has his or her existence in the community of believers. One receives the gifts of God, Word and Sacrament, from the hand of the Pastor as from Christ himself. Encouragement and forgiveness take place among the church family, not in a corner somewhere by yourself.

That said, the gifts which Christ gives in worship flow into the believers entire life and transforms it from the grotesque image of sin and death into the beautiful, everlasting and life-giving image of God. The Risen Christ app intends to help bring the fruits of corporate worship into the daily faith and life of the believer.

To this end, our prayer is that our content is helpful both for your individual devotion and for the training of your family in the faith.

Here is some background information about our congregation: Risen Christ Lutheran Church believes in the one true God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We are committed to the Holy Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God, which serves as the fount and source of all faith and life. We are also committed to the confessional writings of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as contained in the Book of Concord as a true exposition of the canonical Scriptures.
